What is mosquito net fabric?

Material becomes softer with washing
- Initially, it is relatively hard and flat, but after several washes, the surface “starch” will wash away, making it softer.
Starch weaving technique:
During the weaving process, due to the softness of the cotton thread, it is prone to breakage or misalignment. The plain weave (the simplest textile structure) may seem simple at first glance, but this “coarse weave” actually requires unique techniques. Artisans cleverly use “starch” as a temporary adhesive to hold the cotton threads in a temporary stiff form, allowing them to be uniformly woven into a breathable and airy mosquito net fabric on the loom.
When in use, washing the fabric causes the “starch adhesive” to break down, and the fibers of each cotton thread separate, revealing the original softness of the cotton.
