Official recommendations for selecting from the four specifications of the menstrual cup
- Please choose the suitable cup model based on your menstrual flow, vaginal length, acceptable firmness of the cup body, and different usage occasions.
- For example: If you find the bottom pull ring too long when using the standard cup, please switch to a cup with a flatter pull ring design, such as the Full Moon Cup.
- If it is inconvenient to carry when going out, you can choose to use the folded cup.
- If the flow is lighter during the last few days of your period, it is recommended to switch to the teaching cup.
Official recommendations for selecting between typical menstrual and soft cups
- Only under the following special circumstances would the soft cup be recommended:
- Extremely afraid of the feeling of inserting or removing the menstrual cup
- Has used a menstrual cup before but feels pressure on the urethra or rectum, and moving the cup does not improve the situation
- Weak pelvic floor muscles

- If you feel abnormal pain that is not menstrual pain (such as dull pain, aching, etc.) after insertion, or if there is an increase in discharge, it may be due to insufficient air left inside the cup, causing a vacuum pressure that pulls on the cervix when the cup unfolds. Be sure to remove and reinsert it; alternatively, press the cup rim (i.e. the cup opening) several times to allow air exchange to eliminate vacuum pain.
- If you feel difficulty in urination or defecation after insertion, it may be pressing against the nearby urethra or rectum. Please slightly adjust the position of the cup, or switch to a softer cup.
- Women who have an IUD must press the cup rim to release the vacuum before removing it.
- There is no absolutely safe menstrual hygiene product in the world. When using any menstrual product, always pay attention to your body’s condition. If you experience persistent itching in the genital area, sudden changes in discharge color or odor, high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, skin rashes, pallor, or persistent lower abdominal pain, you should immediately stop using the relevant menstrual products and seek medical attention, as you may have contracted infections such as yeast infections or TSS.
