The all-encompassing active probiotic balancing essence delays aging by enhancing moisture retention and reducing the rate of elastin and collagen degradation. The overall condition of the skin will see improvements in the following areas:
- Protection: One of the primary functions of the skin microbiome is to protect your skin from pathogens. If the density of your skin microbiome is not high enough, invasive microorganisms can find space and food to invade. We aim to increase the density of beneficial microorganisms so that invasive microorganisms cannot find any foothold. This product contains one billion colony-forming units of probiotic lactic acid microorganisms per milliliter and does not include prebiotics—the food for probiotics. When the essence is used in conjunction with products containing inulin and α-glucan oligosaccharides—such as the Esse Plus series’ Self-Repair Moisturizing Night Cream, Self-Defense Moisturizing Day Cream, or any of Esse’s Omega Moisturizers—you will experience the full benefits of the essence.
The essence contains three strains of bacteria—all from lactic acid bacteria. We selected them based on their skincare benefits and synergistic abilities.
- Lactobacillus: This strain produces lactic acid, keeping the skin’s pH level acidic. Among these strains of lactobacilli, many can produce antimicrobial peptides in large quantities, providing protection against pathogen invasion.
- Active Microorganisms: Their numbers are calculated in colony-forming units (cfu/g). However, maintaining the survival of probiotics is a challenging task—products must be free of preservatives, and every step leading up to production must be handled with care.
- Plant Lactobacillus: This is one of the strains that can operate on the skin and produce excellent effects. Usage Instructions
- For first-time users, it is recommended to use once daily, gradually introducing the all-encompassing active probiotic balancing essence into your daily skincare routine. After 1-2 weeks, you can gradually increase to using it twice daily. Once your skin condition improves, please reduce the usage to a maintenance dose.
- Using this essence in conjunction with Esse’s serums will enhance the activation effect of the microorganisms. If you continue to use Esse’s moisturizers afterward, the effect will be even better.
- Customers may experience slight itching or stinging immediately after use; this is normal. Sensitivity tests have shown that this product is 24% less irritating to the skin than distilled water.
- Remember that products from the Esse Plus series cannot be used simultaneously with products from other series. The formulas in this series are designed to improve the skin’s microbiome over time.
