How to Use the Disinfection Cup?
For Microwave Disinfection:
- Please place your menstrual cup with the cup opening facing up into the disinfection cup, fill the disinfection cup with water, and cover it with the lid. Note that the water must be boiling to be effective, so please check the correct power settings on your microwave. Most customers use a medium power level/power for 3 – 5 minutes. If in doubt, please refer to your microwave’s user manual.
- Note that the lid of the cup should not be fully sealed, otherwise steam generated from boiling water cannot escape.
- Please exercise caution when removing the heated disinfection cup from the microwave; take appropriate safety measures for your hands.
- You can wait for the cup and menstrual cup to cool inside the microwave before taking them out to ensure safety.
In conjunction withMilton Mini Disinfection Tablets Disinfection:
- One Milton mini disinfection tablet added to 75mL of water in the MeLuna Cleaning Cup or Foldable Silicone Disinfection Cup with Cup Ring. After the disinfection tablet has completely dissolved, place your menstrual cup with the cup opening facing up into the disinfection cup and fully submerge it. Carefully avoid splashing the disinfectant solution.
- For larger menstrual cups, the disinfectant solution may not be enough to cover the menstrual cup. Please use two Milton mini disinfection tablets with 120-150mL of water until the cup is fully submerged.
- The disinfection process is completed after soaking for 15 minutes.
- We do not recommend extending the disinfection time! Extended disinfection time may cause the cleaning cup and menstrual cup to discolor. We recommend using a timer (such as an egg timer) to accurately measure the disinfection time.
- Be careful not to splash the solution as it may stain fabrics.
