Ring Placement Methods

• Tucked: Tuck the ring into the bottom of the menstrual disc, suitable for low to medium cervical positions and those who wish to engage in intimacy during menstruation
• Dropped: Let the ring hang naturally, suitable for those with a high cervix or difficulty gripping the ring
• Flipped: Pass the ring through the top circular ring from the back, suitable for medium cervix or those unsure of cervical height
• Trimmed: Directly cut the lower half of the ring, suitable for those with a lower cervix or discomfort from the ring, but the official recommendation is not to cut the entire ring off

Usage Process

Preparation:

• Before use, thoroughly disinfect your hands and the Hello Disc, such as boiling it in water for 3 minutes or soaking it in Milton tablets for 15 minutes

During Menstruation:

• Pinch the Hello Disc into an 8 shape and slowly slide it into the vagina, ensuring the ring is the last part to enter. If you feel you have pushed the Hello Disc too far in, gently push the rim upwards to secure it at the pubic bone. Don’t worry about pushing it too deep; the position of the menstrual disc is at the end of the vagina.
• The Hello Disc is designed for easy removal with just one finger. First, relax your pelvic muscles, then use your index or middle finger to hook the ring and gently pull it out; if you can’t find the ring, try squatting or bending over, or use abdominal strength to help push it out a bit.
• The official recommendation is a maximum use time of 8 hours; you must remove and empty the Hello Disc every 8 hours. If permitted, rinse with clean water; if not, you may wipe it with a tissue before reinserting.
• Using the Hello Disc, there may be self-expulsion of blood due to pressure on the pelvic floor muscles while using the bathroom. This can be done without removing the Hello Disc, which is something menstrual cups cannot do. However, note that even if it can self-empty, you still need to remove and clean it every 8 hours to prevent infection. (The self-expulsion feature may not work for everyone and may require understanding your body structure and practice.)

At the End of Menstruation:

• Again, thoroughly disinfect the Hello Disc, then store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight

Notes

• The Hello Disc can last up to 5 years under normal conditions
• The Hello Disc does not provide contraceptive protection; it is not a contraceptive barrier and cannot prevent sexually transmitted infections
• Please use the correct cleaning and disinfection methods, either with Hello Wash or refer to menstrual cup cleaning methods; do not use corrosive cleaners or alcohol for disinfection
• Those with a history of toxic shock syndrome (TSS) or women using an IUD or contraceptive ring should consult and follow doctor’s advice
