What is a sponge cloth?
Developed in Sweden in 1949, the sponge cloth was originally named WETTEX, a coined term combining WET (wet) and TEX (textile). Later, the Swedish WETTEX transferred its license to Germany, after which production commenced in Germany. As a washing cloth that integrates high functionality, design, and sustainability, it is currently popular in Germany, the United States, Japan, and other countries around the world.
The sponge cloth is made of 70% cellulose (extracted from wood chips) and 30% cotton, with excellent compatibility with water. When moistened, it quickly transforms into a fluffy “cloth” resembling a sponge. These fluffy surfaces have many pores that can absorb a large amount of water, making its absorbency as strong as that of a sponge.
Usage through soaking in water
When dry, it is as fragile as paper; but once wet, it becomes soft and elastic. Before use, please immerse it in water and lightly squeeze it with one hand to drain the water, avoiding excessive twisting, which can easily cause cracks. After use, thoroughly rinse it and store it in a well-ventilated place. It can be washed in the washing machine or boiled to disinfect.
